The language of Non-Alcoholic Gin
Who doesn’t love a good G&T?
For well over a century Gin & Tonic has reigned as one of the most popular cocktails in the world. It certainly is one of my favourites. (Even when it is Alcohol-Free)
Getting schooled on any spirit gives you the opportunity to fall in love with it, when you have been on the fence before OR fall in love with it even more.
Understanding the secret language of Gin flamed my obsession even more.Â
There has been a rise of artisanal distilleries around Australia in recent years, they use native, local aromatics, botanicals and ingredients to produce some incredible gins with beautiful and complex characteristics and flavours. Yes, Non-Alcoholic options too!
Instead of a neutral-based alcohol, water is distilled in a giant copper pot. Botanicals are added, and the liquid is heated, which extracts vapours from the botanicals that then flavour the water. It is a delicate, balancing process and our offerings below have it just right.
What do you do when you have decided to take a break from alcohol? For a month, or longer, or you are an athlete training for a challenge? Or a mum-to-be?
Well, rest assured there are plenty of amazing alternatives for you to try. Distilleries and producers are releasing some increasingly impressive Non-Alcoholic Gins.
You will never have to decline a good old G&T ever again, thanks to these amazing options:
